Should United Sign Pogba?

As all United fans have been following the news on a daily basis as to who we are signing and possibly selling, there’s no chance of ignoring the supposed £100m bid for our ex-player Paul Pogba.

So what’s your opinion? Do you think we should be signing an ex-player who basically walked out of our club, or do you not care about what happened 4 years ago?

Of course the money is crazy. Everything financially now in football is ridiculous, and arguably no footballer should be moving from club to club for £100m.

Personally, I think forget the Euros, which were boring on the whole, with national managers playing players out of position, and very few living up to the hype of their club form.  Pogba has undoubtedly developed into a fabulous player and can have an enormous impact at Man United over the next 5-10 seasons, so personally I hope we do break the bank to get him.

Looking back at what happened 4 years ago, this might sound crazy, but maybe it was for the best. If Pogba had stayed at United and signed a new 3 or 4 year deal, he would have played in arguably United’s worst teams for 40 + years, been the main man, got frustrated with not winning, and probably would have left for Real Madrid for £40m at some point in the last 2 years. This way he’s just coming into his prime, and if Woodward and Jose can work their magic, we could well have Pogba for the best years of his career, backed by a great manager and with a team capable of winning everything again like we did in the 90s.
