PREDICTIONS: Where will Man Utd be on Halloween?
September is drawing to a close and we have to be confident that it will finish with a fairly straightforward 3 points at home to a pretty woeful Sunderland side next weekend. Then the fun really begins with some pretty tough looking fixtures for October.
In fact, our only home game in October is against our Noisy Neighbours, with 3 really tough away games at Arsenal, Everton and Palace. So, 12 points up for grabs in October, but only the most rose-tinted fan would bet we would secure all 12.

Obviously Martial has looked pretty special in his 2 outings so far, but it’s unfair to expect him to be able to repeat this week in, week out at his tender age. Memphis looks promising, but hasn’t yet been a game-changer in the Premier League, and Rooney needs to score and generally find his form, as we cannot be carrying anyone in these games if we hope to be there or thereabouts come Halloween.
The back 4 looked a little shaky against the Saints, and whilst we ended up with all 3 points, we could so easily have come away with nothing had it not been for the brilliance of De Gea. When up against a tall, strong centre forward, Daly Blind looks a little lightweight as he did against Pelle last Sunday. Rojo is no Luke Shaw at left back, and Darmian had his worst game so far in the red of United.
With all that in mind, my predictions for October as follows:
Arsenal v United: United win
Everton v United: Draw
United v City: United win
Palace v United: Draw
So my bet is 8 points from 12 – what’s your estimate? Stick your predictions in the comments below…
