Will Martial develop into a United star? Fans are split down the middle

We have been running a poll on Manchester La La La asking fans “Will Martial ultimately justify his price-tag at United?” We’ve had over 1,000 votes, and it’s looking pretty much like a 50/50 split.
50.3% of you believe Anthony Martial will be worth the money, whilst 49.7% are not convinced.
It’s worth noting that voting opened before Martial made his memorable debut. Looking at votes from Sunday onwards, the figures are more in his favour, but not by miles – 55% voted ‘yes’ after the Liverpool game, but 45% still said ‘no’, Martial won’t justify the outlay.
The news that James Wilson will remain at the club this season is welcome and should mean that there’s not quite so much expectation on Martial alone, but there’s no getting away from the fact that the money spent brining him to the club will keep him firmly in the spotlight.
Speaking to MUTV, Herrera has indicated that fellow French-speakers Schneiderlin and Fellaini are helping Martial to settle, and said that he adds something new to the team:
“I think he is a player who has some qualities that the rest haven’t got. So I think he can run into the spaces when the midfielders look forward. We are always going to find him because he’s very quick, very mobile, so I think he is a very good player for us and is going to give us different options.”
Ruud Van Nistelrooy has also been speaking about Martial, suggesting he and Rooney can play together when the number 10 is back from injury:
“He looks like the out-and-out striker that is needed. It would be a good combination if Martial was up front and Rooney was just off him. That would be a good strike force.”
